About This Programme

The Programme equips students with the mathematical, statistical and financial knowledge required to assess and manage financial risk and uncertainty. It develops students’ ability to use actuarial models, probability, statistics, economics and finance to evaluate future risks, estimate their financial impact and support sound decision-making. The Programme applies these skills to areas such as insurance, pensions, investments, banking and other financial services, while developing students’ ability to use quantitative and analytical tools to address complex business and financial problems. It also integrates professional ethics and Christian values, preparing graduates to apply actuarial knowledge responsibly in a rapidly changing financial environment.

Entry Requirements

A Mean Grade of C+ (plus) and above in KCSE, or at least 4 credits in IGCSE with at least 2 credits passes at ‘A’ level/GCE and requires C+ in Mathematics & English.

All prospective students who completed their high school education outside Kenya, except those holding IGCSE or GCE certificates, are required to have their qualifications aligned by the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) before admission.
