Operations

The Operations function oversees day-to-day security activities, including campus security operations, surveillance, access control and related security services.

Intelligence

The Intelligence function operates under the University Head of Security and supports the Department through security information gathering, assessment and appropriate intelligence sharing to strengthen preventive security measures.

Investigations

The Investigations function is headed by Mr. Brian Wafula and is responsible for handling security-related investigations and supporting appropriate follow-up on reported incidents.

All sections work collaboratively to promote effective security operations, incident prevention, response and the overall safety of the Daystar University community.

Motorcycle Rider Safety Initiative

On 17 September 2026, Daystar University, through the Security Department, issued Daystar-branded reflective jackets to motorcycle riders operating around the University.

The initiative is intended to strengthen collaboration between the University and motorcycle riders, enhance the safety of students and other members of the University community, and improve identification of authorised motorcycle operators.

Each reflective jacket carries a unique identification linked to the respective rider and motorcycle stage. The initiative forms part of the University’s broader efforts to strengthen transport-related security and promote safer movement around the University.
