About This Programme
The Programme provides advanced doctoral training in clinical psychology, integrating psychological theory, clinical practice, assessment and research. It is designed to develop scholar-practitioners with the expertise to conduct rigorous psychological research, undertake advanced psychological assessment and apply evidence-based approaches to complex clinical and behavioural concerns. The Programme emphasises the integration of research and clinical practice, enabling students to critically examine existing knowledge, generate new knowledge and contribute to the advancement of clinical psychology. It also develops high standards of professional and ethical practice, critical thinking, innovation and respect for the dignity of clients. Through this integration of scholarship, clinical competence and ethical practice, the Programme prepares graduates to contribute to clinical services, research, training and the advancement of psychological practice.
Entry Requirements
A Master’s degree in Communication or any other related field, with a GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale and thesis. A GPA of 3.00 is equivalent to a B in other universities.
Prospective applicants who completed their undergraduate programmes outside Kenya are required to have their academic transcripts and certificates recognized by the Commission for University Education (CUE) before applying to join Daystar University.
